about "Yari"

"Yari" is a non-profit, non-political, cultural and educational organization which founded in 2000 to help against drug addiction and related diseases like Hepatitis and HIV. Also support vulnerable people during disasters.

When "Bam" deadly earthquake happened on December 2003, we immediately joined other helpers and after evaluating the situation for most prior help, provided the most vulnerable group of people with essential requirements. 

Bam in a glance:

• short-term: (since 2nd day after earthquake) raising money, collecting goods, sending volunteers and bringing injured people to hospitals in Tehran, providing women and kids with their specific requirements, sending deployed bathroom facilities with 15 showers and toilets...
• mid-term: workshop at nutrition and efficient diet for 23 volunteers whom fed target people (pregnant women, lactating mothers and children) with dairy products for 6 months...



Girls dormitory in "Mehr Bam" boarding school

• long-term: building a girls boarding school, "Mehr Bam" (merciful to Bam) with assist of ministry of education and financial assist of: Dutch Bam foundation, Merci Co. Canadian assistance committee, Kuwait women society, French people assistance foundation and many friends and supporters outside of Iran. This great project was proudly done also by support of publishers and bookstores community, Iran Bar associations union, consultancy companies and many anonymous kind Iranians.
